Our History
"By combining the strong engineering heritage of LNR and STS with seasoned business and marketing leadership we have positioned Narda Satellite Networks as an end-to-end full-service satellite products and systems supplier."
Built on a solid foundation of three decades of designing satellite products and services, Narda Satellite Networks is the newest division of L-3 Communications (NYSE:LLL), a leading merchant supplier of secure communications systems and products, avionics and ocean products, training products, microwave components and telemetry, instrumentation, space and wireless products.
Communications was formed in 1997 from the merger of several units owned by the Loral Corporation and Lockheed Martin. Led by Frank C. Lanza, chairman and chief executive officer and Robert V. LaPenta, president and chief financial officer,
Communications brought together top-notch engineers, products, and services, and quickly developed a reputation as a leading supplier of global satellite products and services.
Today L-3 Communications is a $12 billion dollar corporation with headquarters in New York City. L-3 Communications serves a wide range of distinguished customers, including the Department of Defense, selected US government intelligence agencies, aerospace prime contractors, as well as commercial telecommunications and wireless customers.
By creating Narda Satellite Networks and appointing seasoned industry management to head the division, L-3 Communications has created a full-service satellite communications provider that continues the tradition of providing unparalleled reliability with outstanding customer service.
