IMATE (Integrated Multiple Antenna Terminal Electronics)

The IMATE package is unique in that it extends the capability of many legacy and new antenna subsystems to operate as standalone terminals.

The IMATE will allow antenna subsystems to be transformed into complete single or multi-band operating SATCOM terminals. Some of the antennas the IMATE can be integrated with include the 3.9M Lightweight Medium Aperture Antenna (LMAA), AN/TSC-179(C) 2.4M High Wind Antenna (HWA), 60A 2.4M Antenna, LAMDA, LXGHA and QRSA. The IMATE also provides auto-acquisition, antenna tracking, RF power control and CMA functionality (available as an option) to any antenna it interfaces with. IMATE options include a variety of FDMA and TDMA modems, STRATUM-1 frequency reference and test translator. In addition, the IMATE can function as a temporary restoral step site when integrated with a failed system, offering continued operating capabilities, until repairs are completed.
